When considering an exit to a startup how do you consider some of the more complicated benefits (health benefits, vacation policy, equity, promotion cycles, etc.)
I’m 25 and going to be starting a job with 183 k total comp. base salary will be 130 k but I’m very much used to living off of 50k or less. Already have a newish vehicle and will be living in Pittsburg which is LCOL I think. After all my bills I’ll have about 3k a month to invest. Is it wise to max out 401k and Roth IRA? It should I invest it elsewhere? Thanks!

Seeking portfolio advice. 23 years old- 95k comp, 20k currently in market through the most basic Schwab index funds and Vanguard ETF’s, already max out 401k & IRA. My returns over the past year have been meager. I want to take on more risk and pick more concentrated investments. Whatever I go with, I want to hold them for the long run with no intention to sell. Any advice?
Anyone have a solo 401k for your LLC? Any insights/watch outs? Do I ask my accountant about setting one up, or do I need to find some kind of investment pro — or can I do it myself thru fidelity or something?
So why haven’t women lawyers formed their own network of large law firms that aren’t the hell holes that (apparently) are present-day large firms? We could prioritize all the things traditional firms dgaf about - remote work options, vacation time/PTO, reasonable hours, maternity leave, childcare options, etc.
Looking for some guidance about a personal loan for wedding expenses. My fiancé and I are getting married in June and will probably need to take out a loan of about $15-20k to cover the expenses we can't out-of-pocket. Has anyone here done the same and if so, what lender did you use?

How much paternity leave does your firm offer?
I’ve been looking for a new job since Jan of this year. I feel undervalued and I am underpaid in my job, and my company burnt irreplaceable bridges. I just found out I’m 8 weeks pregnant. I have two early stage jobs in the pipeline. But let’s be realistic, IF it did work out, I wouldn’t get an offer for at at least three months. That would take me to 4 months before maternity leave. Do I just give up on leaving and accept my current company? Help.
I consider myself a gen xer. I feel that in the past, longevity and loyalty to a company was the trend. Now, i see ppl with resumes and they stay for less than a year in a job and change jobs constantly. The younger generation and are so eager to move up the ladder. I wonder if the move up is too fast and is really justified. Or perhaps the younger generation feels a lot more entitled and are more aggressive. Thoughts?

Big 4 strategy (e.g. S&, EYP) is better than BCG and Mck as you work less hours for similar pay and have a hugely higher probability of interesting case work as you only do DDs or strategy, all else goes to the non strategy part of the big 4. Change my mind
