On the Metro North going into the city for work. Just realized that mostly everyone uses the seat next to them to place their bag and deny someone else seating next to or across from them. I get it! COVID is still out there, but isn’t that the risk you take every time you leave your house. And before you 100% WFH zealots come after me, I have personal and work meetings today and it makes it easier to work from the office.
I started my career with my firm in my hometown (~60k population). After a few years I decided I wanted to go to a larger city (260k population) and thought my life world change as I was a driven single 26 year old. I got two promotions, but personally I don’t feel like I have any ties to the city and had better luck dating but didn’t find the one yet. Now since WFH started I’ve been mostly living in my hometown and am thinking about moving back. Cont…
Does PHR certification help in India, as this is globally recognised how much valuable is this currently in indian job market. Do we got some good offers or its another certificate just to add to CV after so much of investment & time I don't want to get this wasted !! Need suggestions ??
How seriously is McK’s ‘outside activities’ policy enforced? It sounds like P2P advisory like MBA / College admissions consulting would not be allowed… is that correct?
Piggybacking off the manager post below. SA3 currently at 115k NYC. What kinds of exit opportunities are available for me? Should I stay for promotion? What would I reasonably get?
Should I be concerned for my career with lack of billable projects? Background: Analyst hired out of undergrad in July 2020. I have worked on 3 proposals in the last 2 weeks, and 5 in the last 2 months. In the past year since I was hired, I have 8 months of billable work which is actually slightly higher than the other Analysts I joined with. Should I keep collecting paychecks and hoping for projects, or is this a serious issue that should prompt an exit strategy?
If they decide to go back to "remote" or "hybrid" model this school year, I am legit gonna loose it!
Went through a bad burnout a few months ago and ended up taking some time off during the Christmas holidays to recover. Now that I am back, I feel disengaged and can’t help but constantly feel like I don’t belong here. Anyone else go through a similar experience?
My H1B decision was under appeal after denial and was just overturned and approved. Unfortunately I was outside the country at the time and now require stamping to enter back however....
Hi All, Did anyone know about the company Trane Technologies and know any insights about the company? Trane Technologies is manufacturing company of HVAC. So not sure to choose between 16LPA product based company or 18LPA service based company. Help me here.
I'm on the bench and feel more caught up with life than I've ever been. It honestly feels uncomfortable. I have another project lined up but any advice?
Hi Everyone, Can anyone here from Capgemini, want to know something about process of FP&A. Should I ask for a raise? My 6-month review is next week and I’m thinking about asking for a raise. I’ve never asked for one before and normally would never think of asking for one until at least 12 months but in the last couple of months my role and responsibilities have enhanced significantly. I don’t have much experience as this is my first job in advertising (comms background) and I don’t want to come off as naive or ignorant! Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you!
AAS experienced associate offer was 75k base 5k signing. I don’t think I’m being lowballed but should I push for 80? Have another interview hoping to leverage it if I get both offees
Hey guys, I interviewed with Wipro a week back. I had the final HR round and every process is done. But the HR is saying that she is waiting for approval for my salary. Only after that she can release the offer letter. It's been more than a week since that discussion. How much time does it take from final HR interview to getting the offer letter?
Saw another putrid Chili’s “baby back-baby back” jingle/food porn spot, reminded me: my former agency pitched that POS & they said “If you show us ‘baby back’ jingle ideas, you’re out.” So we didn’t.
Passed over for a promotion a third time, even after doing everything, and more, you’re supposed to? It’s time to GTFO
How early is too early to start interviewing at new places? Totally happy with my current gig, but just got a referral at a place that would be cool to talk to too.
