I am a director at KP, YOE consulting 12 years at 200K base 15% bonus: \n\nTD / RBC AVP, 160 - 170K Base 50% bonus + stock, etc.\nCPPIB D, 150 - 170K base 50% bonus \nCPPIB MD, 180 - 200K base 100% bonus (yes, 100%)\nMagna, MGR 175K base max \nSAKS Off 5th (US), D, 190K Base 15% bonus \nMLSE D, 140 - 160K, \nKainos, architect, 190K base max.\n\nI ended up with a US based HR tech firm, Architect: 230K CAD 15% bonus stock options.\n\nHope this helps!\n",

Thanks! I am very grateful for being able to find this opportunity. Local CA / TO firms, it's really hard for them to pay 200K+ base, just the market geo and tax systems. Unless you get to VP+

It was for their Tech & Data group.
Why didn’t you take the AVP role at TD/ RBC? Your overall TC would have been greater and probably path to VP in 18m to 24m. Didn’t realize bonus would be 50% but I believe it was mentioned offered more as a way to match your TC. Congrats some great exit opts you had. Did you apply or they reached out to you?

I don’t know about banks offering 50% bonus. Which teams? I had an offer from Scotia and CIBC at the director level and their bonus target was around 20%
I received a similar but slightly lower offer. Variable comp wasn't quite 50%, but a big portion of the was in stock, so not "bonus" per se.
Thanks for sharing your exit opps OP and congrats! Would you mind sharing how you cracked into the US permanent role? I've gotten contract gigs through US staffing firms, but not a squeak when applying for permanent roles. Was this a direct application on the job site?
What was your function and industry focus at KPMG? Seems like in the tech consulting group? What's Director equivalent at other consulting firms? Is that one below partner level?
Hi there, it's advisory, tech advisory. But i am in the Workday team specifically, HR & Finance ERP Implementation. Theres one more level, called exec director above me, then Partner.
The banks offer 50% bonus for AVP? And how much stock?
The avps also have stock comp, so my offer was half incentive comp (bonus) and half stock

They did tell me that in the new year, they would have more postings out. They were a bit slow in NOV / DEC. So I guess they are getting back on recruiting. But the time between my interviews and application was quite some time as well. Maybe they are just swamped.
