I’m coming. Andaz is great too. Road to Hana is worthwhile a day trip (any part of the drive is the destination, doesn’t have to be a drive till the end. Better to stop in between and enjoy the scenery, picnic, …).
Download the Shaka guide app for this drive. Well worth the drive and guided app.
Andaz Maui for sure! Best luau!
That sounds fun 🤩

I enjoyed Wailea/Kihei more than Kaanapali, but that was largely because the latter really felt like a resort town while the former had more of a beach town feel. Lahaina will get you some of that though.
Wailea is sooo cool. There’s the Marriott Grand Wailea, Andaz, and a few others all next to each other. I’d stay there.
There’s also the Westin on the north part of the Island (where I stayed), though it wasn’t nearly as a nice as Wailea, it was still worth staying at and much cheaper!
I’m doing the same thing and also trying to plan it out. Thanks for the post!

ritz is a great hotel with excellent service but not necessarily set on the nicest beaches. It feels more norcal than tropical at times. Id echo what others said and stay in wailea or ka’anapali. Everybody has a different preference and they are both nice with good restaurants so cant go wrong with either
I may be biased but FS has 4 properties throughout the islands of Hawaii, Maui, Lanai and Oahu! There is something for everyone (including an adults only option!)
