1 year into consulting and I constantly feel like I am too slow, not good enough and make too many mistakes. How do I know if I am up to snuff

A Senior Manager told me this once: stop caring. And let me tell you, ever since I stopped caring it’s been smooth sailing.

4 YOE and I’m in the same boat. Hang in there and be kind to yourself! If any leadership (Client and/or D) has an issue with your work or you as an employee you wouldn’t be there

Everyone around you is constantly making mistakes, you 1 YOE is showing because you just haven’t harnessed how to hide them as well as the person with 5-10 YOE.

Hello, I have been with the same company for 17 years. I am a supervisor for a laboratory in patient services. I worked my way up and currently have no degrees. Has anyone been able to work their way up in a company and then find a similar job with another company? I’m nervous that I’m stuck based on the fact that I don’t have a degree.

Looking for suggestions on qualifications I should pursue.

I'm a Junior Project Manager, pivoting myself into the consulting industry. I have a Business Analysis Foundation certificate and considering pursuing Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner.

Is Prince 2 worth it for my long term goals? And how valuable is it? Is there other qualifications worth pursuing e.g. Prince 2 Agile?

TIA

Considering joining a small 50-person company as the only attorney (prior attorney is retiring). (I am currently in-house at a F50). For others who have done the same path, what surprises did you have when moving from a large company to a small one?

For example, it sounds like I should not expect a document management system, based on a prior post in this bowl. I’m guessing expenses like state bar fees and cell phone are not reimbursed.

Any advice on things to expect (or not expect)?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
