(1/2) I (64 F) think I’m about to get pushed out. I was hired 1.5 years ago. Shortly after being hired I felt I was only hired because of my age. Let me explain. The leader was also new and wanted to make their mark so, the housecleaning began. With the firing of a 60 year old female. (It got ugly) I think I was there to make it look like it wasn’t an age thing. Then, over the past 12 months, more people have been eliminated. All over 50 years old. Now it seems the attention is on me.

I went through all the stages of interviewing with a firm then they chose not to fill the position. They said internal priorities changed. I saw about 5 months later they posted a similar position. Guess who has another interview!

I’m being promoted from administrative assistant I to II. I currently make $25/hr and they haven’t given me a number yet. Not sure what I should ask for ?

Admins. Midwest region. Tax, audit or overall office admin. Salary range? Highest comp percentage increase you’ve seen in your role? I’ve been in my position 15 years & go above & beyond for anyone in our office. But my salary doesn’t reflect my knowledge, experience or work ethic IMO.

I just found out a new colleague was brought on at 20% higher salary than my current salary. (Have been w/ firm 1.5 years) She doesn’t have a 4-year degree (working on it). Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor! I ended cutting my hand on an exacto knife and there was no first aid! Is this normal?
