2 years ago I lost my job b/c our portfolio didn't make it on contract. At that time, I had 17 years of exp in med device. A friend of mine, who owns a company in the newborn market brought me in while I look for something else, at half of my prev. salary. It's been 2 years and I've been told "too much exp", or "not enough of the right exp", or "my exp isn't exactly what we're looking for", or "the position is no longer available" or I get ghosted. Feeling a bit lost & frustrated - any help?

I feel like companies are always looking for those highly skilled people who are still entering the game so they can have an entry-level salary. But the fact that you took a small gig while you're looking so you're resilient and adaptable on top of all the other skills you have from your past experience. Highlight that in your resume or cover letter it shows you can pivot into another industry.

I appreciate the read and comment. Sometimes the challenge is getting to the conversation about being resilient and adaptable. Recently, I don't even get to that part of the interview process.

I’m an Environmental Protection Specialist and make pretty good money for what I do. I just feel like I have more to offer than being a worker bee in a system at 25. I work with a lot of retirees and would love to return in my latter professional years. I have my Bachelors in Applied Coastal Environmental Science and want to expand my options. Any suggestions that won’t require me taking a crazy pay cut? I’m pretty much open to anything.

Hi, we just launched Diversity and inclusion committee at our work place and one of our many initiatives is to share some reminders /notifications about safety and inclusion in common employee platforms/portals e.g There’s no place or time when discrimination is acceptable. Please feel free to report to HR if you com across any discriminatory behavior. Anyone has any more similar ideas what other topics we can add?

Has anyone tried Isagenix? Thoughts? Did it work?

it feels like every survey about working from home is (poorly) designed to answer the useless question "would you rather work from home or from the office." I submit that the set of people who prefers to have only one of those two options, always and forever, is the null set. which means it DOES NOT MATTER because the correct answer is always going to be "make both possible." you're welcome, HR departments everywhere.

Can someone explain the difference between FB’s Partner Solutions Manager and the Strategic Partner Manager? From an initial recruiter call, it seems the SPM provides the consultative product recs while the PSM onboards the client onto that product and tracks performance to provide actionable recs as needed. Anyone know career growth and salary for these two? I don’t want a sales heavy/only lateral growth role like their client solutions manager roles so these seem like good compromises?
