Drawing 16 lakhs fixed cash including PF and everything, the CTC comes to 17 lakhs. At Barclays they are hiring me as a BA4 analyst and the profile is Basel Reg reporting Pillar 3 CCYB in Gurgaon. They are offering me 19,20,000 fix cash saying that it is a second switch in one year so 20% is the max they could offer.

I applied for a role a few days ago and found the relevant hiring manager today via LinkedIn. Should I send a follow up mail/introduce myself to this person. Would it leave a good impression or come across as desperate?

Btw, the person is in a “Talent Acquisition” position at the company.

Hello! Looking at an opportunity with established startup in UK that's just been acquired by a large co. I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked). I'm not sure how to reply to them because I have a feeling that my requirement may be out of their range and while I don't want to undercut my value, I also don't want to be cut out of the process because it's an interesting co. Any advice?
