I worked there for 2.5 years in Boston. In 2013.
Would you be able to throw some light on the interview process? Especially what kind of case studies they throw at you?
I have an interview coming up and I'm very nervous.
I’ve heard of them, but still yet to know anyone who works there or even interviewed with them. I would be interested to hear more as well!
Its been a long time and it was a hold over job.
- they have salaried consultants and hourly. Hourly guys get paid around $27/ hour and often are studying etc at the same time. Not sure how much the actual consultants make.
-It has a small office feel where the owners knows everyone and the holiday party was pretty elaborate.
They mainly got tasked from other consulting firms or clients to figure out market trends and inside knowledge of an industry and company before said company was acquired. It was basically a glorified due diligence report based on hundreds of phone call interviews, completed by the hourly, in which those that worked industry or used similar products as the target firm would tell the minutia of what goes into their decision making process and what direction that market is taking.
The consultants (salaried) would package that into a 160 page deck to present to the client. Turn around was from 2-6 weeks.
I did enjoy my time there, overall a lot of smart people, I did notice long hours from most of the office.
For instance on Fridays there was often free beer at the end of the day, at the same time those that got in at 7:00 am were still there at 6:00 drinking their beer and working.
I have an interview with them soon. Could you throw some light on the case study/interview process?
