Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

Has anyone in big 4 asked for a transfer to a different country? (I.e Canada). Currently debating whether I should transfer with the firm or apply for express entry myself.

What's involved in a pension audit? Why am I being brought on as an extra team member just to do that for a month? Seen the same scenario multiple times now.

What certifications are good for technical project manager? I was thinking to start with PSM and PSPO and then move to ITIL, ITSM. Not sure about this though. Not planning to do PMP as I think it’s more waterfall focused. Was also thinking about AWS. Any other certifications recommended?

How many intervals do you have to bill time at? We’re at 15 minutes intervals for professionals and six minutes for admin.

Does your firm form leadership group trainings? We usually do every summer but we are starting one these last 2 months. We usually read books or watch something and then discuss. If you do them, do you think they are effective?

It is so painful seeing PwC and Deloitte folks posting about ratings, promotions, and raises knowing that EY won’t have any official word on anything for 1-2 months.
