Just more nonsense when ppl give more emphasis on feeding the algorithms rather than just being fair, honest, transparent. Feels like we are in some late stage of capitalist entropy where corporations no longer do the bare minimum to treat employees and the talent pool as anything more than a pesky - yet necessary - nuisance/cost they have to "put up with". Then they continue to shill stories about quite quiting, no one wants to work, blah blah. Maybe everyone is just sick, tired and drained of being blatantly treated like we have the shelf life of a Kleenex tissue, and the double speak PR crap that is 90% of a workers existence just doesn't cut it any more, we all are starting to see it for what it is. I don't know what the end game is with so many MBA leadership types cheering on the Tech Bros to get AI to the point that it can replace as many of us as possible, but I'm putting some $$ into the stocks of manufacturers of pitchforks, torches and guillotines.

I just had an L7 sdm interview with Google. Seemed to go very well except one of two system design interviews. The one went great and one went ok until they asked me to estimate the cpu/ram/server needed to handle the workload. I could give a great answer. We shall see.
