How thoughtful! I'll leave the specific skincare product recommendations to other commenters, but here are some things to consider:
Depending on your friend's current routine you could get them something they already love or a pregnancy safe alternative (retinol is discouraged during pregnancy and breastfeeding, more advice here https://www.babycenter.com/pregnancy/your-life/safe-skin-care-during-pregnancy_1490031). Consider also acne patches, face rollers, or something else generally safe that they might enjoy if they have to avoid chemicals.
If your friend plans to breastfeed, you could get a sampler of nursing care things like nipple ointment or nipple butter (I've liked Lansinoh, medela, and mother's promise for convenient tubes). A lot of those are either pure lanolin or plant based oils and butters and so double as lip or body care but can be comodogenic.
I think they'll appreciate any gift picked out with love! I remember the hardest thing for me was being overwhelmed by choices and picking something that I'd only use temporarily. So a little research and "risk taking" on your part can go a long way to help out.
Oh! Depending on your budget, consider a humidifier. A small one could go in the office or nursery and some have aromatherapy capabilities.
Got this for my bestie and she loved it and recommended it to all of her friends who were also expecting/new moms.

Do you know what type of skincare shes into? Medical grade? Sephora stuff? All natural?
As a breastfeeding mom who desperately wants Botox and retinol but can’t, Skinceuticals P-Tiox is the holy grail for me right now (pricey tho).
