A lot of people seem to hate the idea of a GL accounting role - is it really that boring? I have a great offer with a company in an industry I’m trying to get I to, and also the routine of it sounds nice. Curious what people’s perspectives are.

HCOL audit SM looking to leave big 4. What should be my comp expectation?

Is applying a few days before the “Apply by” date too late? Do most decisions get made early on/they don’t wait for all applications before interviewing/hiring?

What level and service line were you at the big 4, and what percent salary increase did you get once you left? I’m a S1>S2, and the offers I’m seeing are around 10%-15% higher, which feels a little low. But maybe I’m being unrealistic.

Currently a new S1 thinking about taking a FP&A role. Is going from Senior to Analyst not Senior analyst a bad move? Mediocre raise in salary (3k) but well known company with a flat structure
