A new Sr. Manager recently joined my team, and for whatever reason thinks that my initiative (where I am the official lead), wants me to check in with her constantly about it, as she thinks it’s part of her overarching role.

How can I as a Senior Consultant communicate that I don’t report to her, without souring the relationship?

You could ask her or your Partner/Director if she is part of the engagement now ?

Yup exactly this. Ask the overall engagement lead what the expectation is. I've had the same situation and the partner took care of things and spoke to the SM.

I'd clarify with your manager who is tasked with what, and whether this new manager is correct or incorrect in her assumption. Doing so will raise the red flag if she's not, but not look as if you're being territorial.

I have been approached by 3 separate HR people at a startup company to interview for a position. I already have a fulltime job that pays well and I only started 6 months ago too. Anyways, the pay was intriguing and the job was a high level scientific advisor so I did interviews. At the last interview, at the end I was told the job was for management but I prepared for a different kind of interview. I am waiting for an offer or rejection letter. I feel peeved that they wasted my time. Red flags?

hey, I’m in need of some advice! Hopefully, I haven’t screwed myself over..so I get a call for a job and they initially offer $62k with a $1000 sign on bonus, I countered at 65k bc I knew I deserve more pay but I was afraid to actually ask for much more than that. They verbally accepted my counter offer but have yet to send me a written offer I can sign. I completed research on the position and salary for my area and realized I aimed low. I countered again at 72k. Was I wrong?

When I originally was looking to get into a big Tech company, I decided to get my foot in the door my best option would be to become an admin. Hi, anyone know anything about Sales Capture at Accenture? I’be been offered a role as sales enabler (role title is still unclear). The reason behind this is that I applied for a different job (SC) before the summer but didn’t get it, now they ask if I want to go into this role and they want to secure it soon. I know nothing about this role other than what the MD have described. They don’t have an ad for the position so I don’t know what I should think. Is it a good role or is it like a PA role?
