It’s a beautiful thing when a student expresses their feelings about you. Enjoy those words for the rest of your life! Congratulations on being a truly wonderful, inspiring and human person! You choose the right path! Congratulations!
Thank you
Its that one student, when you are struggling through the tough times that makes you feel the Joy of doing what we do. To break through and make a difference, which from this posting I can tell you do. Thanks for all that you do. Schools need more Teachers as you.
Rising Star
I bet that provided so much validation for your career choice and for the terrible week you were having. Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely
Yes! Many students in my lifetime !! Proud to be standing for them.
Love it
Absolutely worth sharing. I currently work as BT for an agency. I supported a wheelchair bound student in what would have been called IAC; prior to the inclusion model. Following 2nd period he looks up at me and says, “thank you very much for helping me today. You’re really good at your job.” That made a true impact and perhaps shaped the way the rest our day went together. Not the same, still meaningful. Happy Friday!
That is awesome
It always seem to come from the least likely source, dosen't it?
Seems so
Pretty much every year some student will tell me something similar.
Isn’t it the best?
a few years ago another staff member was targeting me and I had a moment where I couldn't help but cry in front of students. The next day one of my students brought me a spray of lilacs in a paper cup that she had decorated with my name. I dried those flowers and keep them in a jar in my classroom as a reminder that people notice and care. Even kids.
Yes and it’s lovely. There are students who actually pay attention to their teacher and may recognize when a kind word or gesture is needed. My students always drew me pictures and I hung up every one of them!
