Guys, I need your thoughts on a dilemma. I have a rule, that whenever someone cooks, the other person should do the dishes, ideally that night. Not unreasonable. I do most of the cooking now since I WFH and my husband goes into his office. When he’s supposed to do dishes he lets them “soak” and they’ll sit there for a few days..it’s so gross and I can’t handle it. I’ve tried different strategies of explaining, yelling, not yelling, doing them myself after all, mini cooking strikes, etc. Help?!

Well I mean one might want to be independent and successful on one’s own merits and not overall rely on anyone else’s success...

Hmmm that does make sense. I don’t feel bad about being invested into but I guess I need to be in a place where that turns out to be a good investment (I’m only in my mid 20s). Maybe I need to learn some more by working in a start up first
If you can earn comparable or even slightly lesser as a citizen in India, just go for it. Here one lives live in EMI of 1-3 years based on visa validity.

I am looking to give back for different causes in India like kids education, vocational training for women - either expertise, money or both. We could look into pooling efforts or resources if you want to go that route OP

Lol if you’re in with a cabinet minister level, why the hell are you in a job. Go home and relax.

Apply for lateral entry in IAS if you are skilled/experienced enough.
D1 is correct. Your previous years of experience will be counted for current opening posted by UPSC. There are good openings in financial regulations space.

You can explore Govt and Public Service in D, P or KPMG if you want leverage your network and still live in the western world. KPMG handles Govt relations for MH, I think PwC for Central Govt. Check that option.
