I personally unfollow accounts that are obviously using AI to write their captions and copy. And so why would I subject other people to that? It's social media for a reason, not "generative AI media" and I find it condescending and insulting when brands outsource their "human element" to a machine. If they can't be bothered to write it, why should I be bothered to read it?
I think people are offended by AI slop when they can identify it as such. The reality is that a lot of social content goes by so quickly that people, at least for now, probably aren't judging it too carefully. I think if people are using AI for more than brainstorming, if they're putting actual slop out in the world, they may get away with it, but that may change as people become more perceptive about it.
I don't think it's going to completely take over. People are already pushing back against the flood of AI content. But I don't think they really care if it's used to help generate ideas, write captions or any of that sort of thing. I don't, anyway.

I think the best case would be if the AI was trained in your brand / content / writing style before having it start generating content for you.
