Am I going to be laid off?

I’ve been extremely light at work for the last 5 months.

I got a promotion last year, but things have slowed down a lot. The company is doing fine, I’m about 60% billable, but my billable % is a lot higher than the work I’m actually doing.

I’ve repeatedly asked for more opportunities but they seemingly aren’t coming through. RFPs are flowing but don’t make their way to my desk.

I trust my boss nearly completely and they say I have nothing to worry about…

Currently making $75k, which is very low compared to my counterparts. However, in February I’m supposed to get a salary adjustment with my yearly review. I got a job offer for $120k-150k which I turned down cuz I want to stay at Adobe.

Currently working at Perforce Software in Minneapolis as a writer making 70k. Was offered a job to be a writer at Amazon Alexa for 95k plus 11k sign on and shares.

Here’s the catch: the job was listed as fully remote but now they’re asking if I’d want to move out on the West Coast…not a requirement but they really sound like that’s their ideal.

Questions about job hopping-
My average tenure at a company is ~1.5 years (with ~11 YOE), but each jump I've made has yielded progressive/tangible career growth.

I'm concerned after my most recent jump (went from a product director to a head of product position at a different, smaller company after only a year) that I've kind of poisoned future career prospects at larger companies.

Started in *May* - Prior to signing everything, I expressed concern to the recruiter about the credit check. Honestly, it’s not great but it’s not terrible. The recruiter told me many times to not sweat it because it the background check was the main thing. And that we could talk through anything on the credit report. Now HR is telling me they may rescind the offer pending review. I’m crushed. What can I do?

Hi all! Currently in the process of a career pivot and had a question. My current company wants me to come back for a two week project in August. Is this too big of an ask on a new employer if I request unpaid leave for this time? I had asked them about delaying start date until this project is over but it was too far away, and I’ll start this month instead but haven’t yet. Recently, i was "promoted" or, I should say, my title was changed to the next ring up the ladder. As a part of this, I went from reporting to Senior Management, to Junior Management. The Jr. Manager has good intentions, but, is not helpful. I've worked at the company longer, have accomplished more across multiple lines of business and have a much stronger internal network. Am I overreacting thinking this is a major slight that will ultimately slow down my growth within the company?

Hey folks, I work in marketing and program management and, along with everyone else, the recession is hitting me hard financially. When I try to find companies that pay well, they’re all in tech… but all those companies are laying off, freezing and rescinding offers (had one rescinded myself) 😕 so my question to all of you - what industries/sectors are still in demand for marketers/program managers right now that actually pay well?

Anyone out there have advice on finding the right position for you? A job can sound one way on paper, but you don’t know what the worst day in that role will feel like. Additionally, how would you go about finding more hidden/obscure titles that could possibly be the best match?
