Imagine you're looking for a remote job at a large company with a sophisticated marketing function, strong manager, and room for growth. Making good traction, but then you're contacted by a company in a niche that FASCINATES you...like you read books about this subject for fun, you'd probably love this job. It's remote, the salary is good, the manager is nice, but you'd be the most senior marketing person; the company is about 200 people. What would you do?

How would you approach moving back into industry after a long career break?
A successful senior software engineering career (15 years+), I took a significant amount of time out due to burnout and caring responsibilities.
Seven years on, my situation has improved, and the industry has progressed. Remote first companies are numerous, and I’m keen to move back into software development.
I would love to hear a recruiter's perspective on this situation.
I have a friend of mine looking to get into customer success or related role! Are there remote entry level positions (that don’t need a degree) that are available?
She has experience in the following roles:

- Customer Service Representative
- Customer Service Sales Representative
She really smart and hardworking, I would love to help her find a career - not just a job - that she enjoys. Thanks I’m advance!

Hi everyone I have approx. 3 years of external audit experience along with my CPA. I am trying to transition into recruiting. Anyone here hiring for a 100% remote recruiting role?
Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year. I have been supervising and managing our team of 6 for months with no extra pay or bonuses. I was told yesterday that raises will be light this year. Yet today they spare nothing.
Anybody down for a quick meet up today? We can grab a coffee/ drink of your choice. Just moved here and WFH has me really fried.

What are some of the best consulting firms for digital strategy roles? Looking for a change and was wondering which of the T1/T2 firms have digital practices in Canada. I have applied to ATK and McK. BCG is working to establish their presence in Canada but their team is focused on establishing top down. Bain doesn’t have digital focus. Can anyone shed some light on other T2 firms?
So I’m feeling kinda stuck at the moment.
For reasons out of my control I couldn’t work for a year. So I took a job as a laboratory assistant in a pathology lab. I had about two years of experience working in Quality Control labs for pharmaceutical. I was so happy to get this job because I thought it was a great opportunity and I got the hourly I wanted $22. After being there for over 60 days, I’m starting to dread going to work. I want to make a switch to a tech job that’s remote.
Hi all, I’m starting a new job as a senior pm in a new company in 1.5 weeks. I was wondering if anyone had advice on what to do to be successful in your first month on the job? For context, all my pm experience to date is at an early stage startup for 5 years (pre seed to series B) and I’m joining a series E remote company that is likely to go public in less than a year. They are quite large but relatively new to product management (they were previously engineering-led).
After 18 years, I lost my art room to a classroom this year in order to spread out kids due to Covit19. They said we can’t hand out papers.. kinda thinking art is remote for all. I will do lessons on google classroom with live lesson to classrooms and home. I was told special area teachers may be “repurposed”. We will be used like a TA. One class will be spread out two rooms.Aday teacher in one room, I help in other room. B day teachers switch 😳😷☹️.. I know I’m lucky to have a job but.
I have an interview tomorrow with EY and the role is Data Analytics and tech stack- SQL, Python.

Is the market gonna crash in next 2 months? Nearly all tech or EV stonks I look at are near to 52 week high. I think we will run out of gas soon.
Got scolded by a Partner today. He brought up my 6mo review mentioning my need to double-check my work. Unfortunately, the thing he was yelling at me for was his own mistake (cont)
I'm told I will have to take a personality test during an interview. What's the best way to prepare?
Getting the second moderna vaccine this weekend. I’m terrified. I’ve never had the flu so I don’t know how to prepare myself for the next day. Any advice? FWIW I had zero reaction to the first dose, generally healthy mid-thirties female, have high blood pressure.
Anyone else tire of the “plant mom” and “dog dad” me too conversation? It seems to be more frequent. For example, company says, “Parents, please share pictures of working from home with your kids during Covid” for a diversity and inclusion project. Undoubtedly someone responds, “what about my plant babies? 🤣”. I don’t want sympathy but I find it childish. Just give us the courtesy of understanding that plants and pets are not the same. Stop “me too’ing”
Nothing I can do can keep my elderly desi parents happy. I give up and I give up on the guilt. Just going thru the motions with them now. The level of toxicity is getting too much to handle.
Would you hire me if I told you during an interview that I quit because my firm expected me to evict an old man with COVID from his home? I literally can't do it. I'm wondering if it will end my career in big law as a result. I might decide that's a price worth paying but I'm just curious what others reactions would be? Could I even say that in an interview? Is that privileged info or anything? Any advice is welcome right now

I went from one toxic clinic (clerical side) to another toxic clinic. , it's within the same hospital, but I was hoping it would be a bit less. Now I'm looking for work elsewhere. How do I get my mind straight and be positive? I've totally lost hope that I'll find something anywhere.

Just had a coworker in a higher rank than me book us a 3 hour long meeting starting at 6 PM… Maybe I’m crazy, but that’s kind of ridiculous and rude, right? It’s not for an urgent deliverable or anything time sensitive either. How do I raise to him that that’s outside of my working hours and just not necessary?

“If cities become less desirable in the next few years, they will also become cheaper to live in. In time, more affordable rents could attract more interesting people, ideas, and companies. This may be the cyclical legacy of the coronavirus: suffering, tragedy, and then rebirth. The pandemic will reset our urban equilibrium and, just maybe, create a more robust and resilient American city for the 21st century
