Probably boutique firms. Vynamic is fully remote I believe.

I do think it really depends on the practice. For example life sciences generally lends itself well to remote projects

"Regardless of what clients do" is a hard qualifier, when they are the ones paying us. Look for an internal role, maybe?

Imagine you're looking for a remote job at a large company with a sophisticated marketing function, strong manager, and room for growth. Making good traction, but then you're contacted by a company in a niche that FASCINATES you...like you read books about this subject for fun, you'd probably love this job. It's remote, the salary is good, the manager is nice, but you'd be the most senior marketing person; the company is about 200 people. What would you do?

How would you approach moving back into industry after a long career break?

A successful senior software engineering career (15 years+), I took a significant amount of time out due to burnout and caring responsibilities.

Seven years on, my situation has improved, and the industry has progressed. Remote first companies are numerous, and I’m keen to move back into software development.

I would love to hear a recruiter's perspective on this situation.

Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year. I have been supervising and managing our team of 6 for months with no extra pay or bonuses. I was told yesterday that raises will be light this year. Yet today they spare nothing.

So I’m feeling kinda stuck at the moment.
For reasons out of my control I couldn’t work for a year. So I took a job as a laboratory assistant in a pathology lab. I had about two years of experience working in Quality Control labs for pharmaceutical. I was so happy to get this job because I thought it was a great opportunity and I got the hourly I wanted $22. After being there for over 60 days, I’m starting to dread going to work. I want to make a switch to a tech job that’s remote.

Hi all, I’m starting a new job as a senior pm in a new company in 1.5 weeks. I was wondering if anyone had advice on what to do to be successful in your first month on the job? For context, all my pm experience to date is at an early stage startup for 5 years (pre seed to series B) and I’m joining a series E remote company that is likely to go public in less than a year. They are quite large but relatively new to product management (they were previously engineering-led).

After 18 years, I lost my art room to a classroom this year in order to spread out kids due to Covit19. They said we can’t hand out papers.. kinda thinking art is remote for all. I will do lessons on google classroom with live lesson to classrooms and home. I was told special area teachers may be “repurposed”. We will be used like a TA. One class will be spread out two rooms.Aday teacher in one room, I help in other room. B day teachers switch 😳😷☹️.. I know I’m lucky to have a job but.

Anyone else tire of the “plant mom” and “dog dad” me too conversation? It seems to be more frequent.
