Yes. Did an M7 EMBA and it felt like lighting money on fire.
Time no. Money, yes. But I knew that going in
I've spent the last 10 years in decision making and close financially responsible roles. I wanted to make a jump in my career to the final decision maker role (COO, CEO, facility manager etc...). It's darn near impossible to be considered for these types of roles without the degree, regardless of talent. So, I took the plunge.
What is found was that many of the things being taught would get me chewed out in real world situations. I actually ran some of my course work, including a consulting assignment, by a well known CEO of a top 50 company. He literally told me, "You better not do that shit unless you want to be publicly embarrassed. Why the hell would you waste our time with that?"
In the consulting project, I've already been moonlighting as a consultant for a few years, it was a situation exactly like what I'm experienced in. Again, I would never do some of the things being taught to students.
I just can't believe it. I was expecting so much more at this level of education. Most especially since it's supposed to be about business at it's core.

Not your fault. The MBA kool-aid is very powerful
How bad the recruiting has been so far ?
Look at the class of 2024 employment report data at schools even like Harvard. It speaks for itself. Class of 2025 recruiting is even worse than that.
