Depends - do you want to stay in consulting longer than 2 years then yes it’s worth - if no then stay at B4 and head back for 2 years and leave

Wirh Wharton, OP has no issues with "branding" longer term.
At my school, yea that’s pretty common. I do think it is worth recruiting and then deciding rather than not recruiting and being in a ‘what-if’ situation forever.
Would you be returning to the B4 into their strategy practice? If no, then I feel like the income potential in and after MBB would justify paying back the tuition. The only issue would be if they required payment in full.

Honestly I might do it if you’re not in a strategy consulting arm, unless you really love whatever it is you do
I’m struggling with the same debate.
Yes I’d be returning to the B4 strategy arm. But does B4 even do “real” strategy anymore? Seems like the best way to have a successful career at a B4 is to do implementation. Is it worth it/common for people to transition to MBB post MBA for the prestige factor? Are exit opps truly that different?

Honestly I’ve had the chance to do some cool things at McK I doubt would be possible elsewhere. With that being said that is definitely not my every day life or whatever. I would say you should recruit, get an offer, learn more about these firms, and then re-assess. No need to put the cart before the horse!
