Bali has become a shell of itself compared to over a decade ago. Stay away from Seminyak and Canggu. Uluwatu is nice. You could also go to Lombok which is less exploited
Definitely visit Nusa Penida. Do a night there if you can. Airbnbs are very affordable
I love Bali and I am an hotel freak so I either stayed at the hotel, spent some time there (pools and restaurants) or at the very least researched it extensively. Do you have a budget in mind?
I agree with A1 to stay away from super busy Seminyak and Canggu (unless you just need some material for IG posts and pool/nightlife). I would avoid Kuta too; for reference every time I go I only spend 1 night there as my usual flight lands 6:30pm so with immigration queue and traffic I wouldn’t check in until 9pm. Day after a quick walk to see some small temples and then lunch at Poppie’s, 1:30pm taxi to the real destination.
Without any indication, I would suggest Sanur or the area of Nusa Dua towards Uluwatu. If you decide to share budget and requirements I can be more specific
This is very helpful. And thanks for being specific. Haven’t really thought of a budget so flexible there. Mid range would be okay. Want to just make the most of it since it’s our first time in Bali
