There’s a partners bowl, but no is the answer. They get allocated units based on a multitude of factors. Units = stock in firm

like

Not a partner but quite sure the answer is no.

Equity is granted based on performance, seniority, etc at nearly every private partnership I’ve ever run across.

It means ICOs are no longer open to anyone. You have to be a certified investor with the SEC. This is why Filecoin is conducting their ICO with CoinList instead of on their own. CoinList ensures their ICO is only open to certified Wall Street investors and makes sure FileCoin's ICO is treated as a normal IPO.

Granted please correct me because IPO investing is something I don't know a ton about.
