Does anyone else feel FOMO when you receive recruiter emails or calls even though you have no intention of leaving your current role any time soon?
Looking for insight on what it’s like to work at Mass Mutual. I just applied for an underwriter role so I want to know what I’m getting myself into.

How does Nagarro BYOB referral works? Are we awarded only if the person joins? When do we get the reward?
Was talking to a friend at a firm that’s hiring Australian attorneys because of need. He was frustrated because one of them is very young (23 or something) and doesn’t really know anything (and my friend is annoyed that he’s getting paid the same as US first years who my friend says know a lot more). Are firms really hiring newly qualified attorneys from Australia with just an LLB as associates now or is this just some fluke?
I have been working in audit for less than a year and do not like it but I do not qualify for most internal transfer positions. Would it be possible for me to apply to an entry level position at Deloitte if I am already employed? Not sure what to do but just really want to try a different service line.

I just got laid off about a month ago. It was the biggest blessing because the place was severely dysfunctional. I’ve been in tech for over 12 years and I was told how standard practices were wrong by my colleagues. I’ve been interviewing like crazy and I am getting traction with all of the FAANG companies. These are my dream jobs and I feel like I am getting close to receiving offers soon. They say success comes to those who have something to prove, and I have a LOT to prove to the haters!!
Got an interview with KPMG for senior associate - financial services. Most of my previous consulting work has been with technology and health care companies. Would it be too tough a transition to come in as an SC with no to little banking or financial services experience. I do like that space but don’t have much knowledge in lending and banking.
START UP EXIT COMPENSATION THREAD:
I feel I’ve heard stories of people making millions from joining startups at various stages once the company IPOs. If you could comment the below if you worked at a start up that successfully exited, that would be great:
Role: (e.g., entry level SWE)
When you joined: (e.g., after $40M series B round)
Years from when you joined to exit: (e.g., 5 years)
Exit value (e.g., acquired for $900M)
Your equity compensation: (e.g. $2M vesting for 4 years after IPO)
Hi All - Can anyone here refer me for Major Incident manager role in Capgemini Mum location - Capgemini.
Advice please! I fell into my role (3 yrs) after 20 years in high commission sales. I went from managing a customer service team to overseeing the entire company in 18 months. It's a small tech startup that has done really well. Most of my job is project management and operations. We have 6 clients with 8 brands and usually have at least 1-3 marketing projects going on for each brand at any given time. I only have an associates degree....
Is $90,000 for a starting senior role in tax low or average in the San Diego Area? Glass door had mixed answers.

Hey everyone, I am a consultant with 3 years of experience in Management Consulting (tech, but also say what sub-sector of tech) and looking for my next jump in my career. I would love to have some input about what boutique or major firms I can look at and if someone is willing to do a referral that would be highly appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance!
I am not originally from US but I have been living and working here since 2018. Unfortunately I do not have any knowledge in IRA, Roth IRA, Backdoor, etc…so for for now what I do is to max out my 401K just to match what my employer pay and I invest all my money using an investment account with Merry Linch (guided investment).
Is there an easy way to learn more about this topics? (Something very simple like “for dummies”) everything that I found so far is confusing to me…
How much is fair to ask for a Sn HR Generalist position in Alabama? I have a Master’s degree in Business law and legal careers, and PHR. I have 7 years of experience and will be the only HR personnel for about 150 employees.
I’ve had very few opportunities to expand my reach in terms of whiskeys. So far Whistle Pig 6 is my all time favorite. Based on that flavor what should I aim for next (a step up)?
How is working at Proskauer? What do you like and what don’t you like? How’s vacation policy and do people actually take vacations? Any other perks or benefits that stand out?

What are ppls thoughts on selling and re-purchasing brokerage account positions over a few years before retirement to reset the cost basis? I’ve read ppl saying they wished they paid taxes while having an income
Hi everyone! I'm a senior product manager with a strong technical background and 8 years of experience building great products. Currently, I'm part of a corporate venturing team where we've built a number of interesting digital businesses over the last few years. I've always aspired to be a Googler and have applied to Google PM positions continually over the last 10 years (including university) but sadly I've had no luck (no referrals, just submitting my resume online). Any advice for me?
How do you feel about paying higher taxes as your income increases as a salaried individual? Do you feel dejected?
How to feel good about this?
Please don't add patriotic propaganda to support the paying of higher taxes. Corruption is everywhere and one cannot effectively showcase where average middle class man's taxes are going into.
I am trying to make my drives more productive by listening to podcasts. What’s the best app for it? Any recommendations? Are most of these free? Any good place to get audio books easily?
What's happening st FCB Chicago? I heard some team members were laid off? Sorry to hear it!
Anyone run a solo shop?
What are areas that are easily contractable at high rates and can be picked up within a couple of years?
Has anyone ever exited to a role where a recruiter blindly reached out to you first? Are they usually low quality roles, and did you regret it?
