Any legal staffing agencies you’ve had good luck with in the Bay Area? Considering axiom and a few others. This would be to fill a gap while we hire. Want smart people!

Hi. I actually work for Axiom as an attorney. I will say that all staffing agencies are a hit or miss but I do think Axiom has the best prices. If you are looking for someone to come into the office, I don’t think a lot of Axiom folks do, but I could be wrong. Also, I think many of us work at different temp agencies in conjunction to Axiom. So, you will likely get a similar talent pool.

I will say that you will be determining who comes in to fill that gap. So, when we get the call we are asked if we want to submit and we still interview with the client. You will have access to our resumes. It’s really up to you who you pick!

I’m accustomed to keeping my students’ IEP folders in my classroom & being held responsible for their safekeeping. Now in a new district, I found that the Case Manager keeps all district IEPs in her office. We have to submit our updates & progress notes to her. And we have to make a planning period appointment with her to come look at any IEP folders. How does your district deal with IEP folder custody?

Hi ,

I have 5 years of experience as a .NET Full stack developer. I am holding offer of 21 LPA and I had HR discussion with Mastercard.

HR is not ready to share the exact budget they have (weird!! because HR usually give the idea of how much they can offer )

HR is asking me to expect something on top of the current offer I am holding.

The opening is for L8. How much offer I should expect from mastercard??

Additional Posts in In-House Counsel

If you practice collections in-house, what do you earn and do you receive a bonus?

I have practiced for five years and make $121k as an employee of a financial services company. As the only attorney, I oversee all statewide collections efforts, from demand letter to garnishment, with a case volume of nearly 7k new cases per year, of which the majority I end up litigating. I receive only a $1k bonus per year. Is my compensation fair? My last insurance defense gig was $75k.

My company cut staff to 4 days/wk to save funds. I was getting requests from coworkers for docs needed urgently on our day off (fridays). I would oblige them. But then, I learned that those same coworkers had been put back to 5 days because they were deemed “essential“. I felt foolish and decided to stop working on fridays. One EVP (not the GC) in particular has been aggressively texting/calling me on fridays. How Do I tactfully respond? My out-of-office email is not enough of a hint...

I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I am expecting an offer from a firm doing business law work but think this might be an opportunity to go to my current employer and ask for a significant raise, with new offer in hand. Any thoughts or advice going into this?
