Comp at partner depends on your numbers, not time. It will take however long it takes you to generate the numbers needed for substantially higher comp at your firm. So that’s what you should be asking - “what numbers do I need to make X comp at my firm?” Only people at your firm can answer that. Then you can decide for yourself how long it’ll take you personally to get those numbers.

I’m a first yr in NYC biglaw (2nd yr in Fall) — is 3.2k for one bedroom in BK (think downtown BK, carroll garden, Williamsburg) too much? Always have lived in manhattan so I’m not sure what reasonable rent for one bedroom in BK is.
