I can only speak from the biotech patent paralegal position, but WGS had really good training set in place for new tech specs/agents/associates. From my POV, WGS is a great place to learn and get your feet wet then move to another firm if you want to get out of a boutique.
I left because they wouldn’t accept me as a tech spec with only an MS in chemistry, but would’ve loved the opportunity.
Wilson Sonsini is less pf a primadonna. I know people at Wilson and they are there for many years and like it alot. I interviewed 2x within a 5 year period for Wolf and after preliminary interviews with really nice ladies, the attorney interview was a disaster. I really dodged a bullet when they never hired me. This last time I applied for a remote position, the interviewer was really young and unfriendly, and promised to send me over the next level since I have 19 years patent prosecution and litigation experience.......then ghosted me. No rejection email - no explanation as to why I was lied to - nothing. Very disrespectful. So, I'm not a fan of Wolf. Just sayin'...

I am a lateral (not from Wolf), and I like it. It’s different than my previous firms because there’s a lot of responsibility placed on the associates, but it’s great experience and training. People I’ve worked with so far have all been nice and willing to help.
