What are you concerned about? Having different opinions is never the problem; it's good for a company and a team. However, we need to learn how to respect someone with contrary ideas. Therefore, the best approach for me is to be open to hearing and ensure that everyone involved knows we are looking for the best for the team. This requires having the right mindset, recognizing that opposition is beneficial for growth.

True! No real concerns on my end. I've usually been able to work out any differences in opinions with peers and usually end up collaborating well with them and a lot of it comes down to what you were saying about being open and vulnerable enough to know where you might have shortcomings and being able to incorporate the best of both opinions
Is it something you can involve HR in? I sometimes have them sit in as an unbiased third party to mediate. That can be really helpful if there is conflict.

None of the conflicts I've been in have needed HR involvement but I do agree that an unbiased third party or having to mediate definitely helps
