Cross-posting: What was your narrative in interviews for wanting to leave biglaw? Presumably you didn't just say I hate working 60+ hours per week in a disgustingly inefficient, top-heavy organization.

Wanted to have more ownership and input, always enjoyed working with my clients’ business folks and enjoyed building those relationships, career advancement, etc. Pick a couple and have a good story for them. Ask someone early on why they chose X company and then see if you’ve obtained good material to re-use in subsequent interviews.

I actually more or less did. The people I was interviewing with were mostly also biglaw refugees (some from the same firm, even). They get it. I got the job.

I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.

I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.

Any advice or similar experience?

Hi all, i have an interview coming up for a product manager/owner position. It's a problem solving interview and the case study could be based on a growth, conversion or a P&L problem.
What kind of questions should i ask on all three to get more insights into the problem?

I was recently offered a “promotion” from Senior Director to… a Senior Director with a much bigger team.

I’m basically doing the same role the VP did before me (brand, campaigns, strategy, design, web, content all under me).

I was offered NO pay bump with the additional responsibility and NO title change. My base is 200k… and my highest paid direct makes 180k for doing about 1/2 the work. I get no equity because we’re private.

I work for a very profitable tech company. Is this fair?

If you’ve decided you just don’t like practicing law, especially after several jobs, what have you done to leave? Do you feel compelled to use your JD in some way because, “well, I already got it”? Or are you okay moving in an entirely new direction?
I’m thinking of starting a new business unrelated to law. The JD and practice experience will obviously come in handy with typical business management issues like negotiating and enforcing contracts, basic HR issues, etc. (Cont. in comments)
