I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?
Any Sony Corporation, Epic Games, or Rockstar Games Producers here? I wanted to know a bit more about the development workflows and different teams involved in delivering features for live service games. I’m interviewing with a team working on a live service game platform and I’d like to understand the complexity and breadth of the work their live service teams do (Account creation/mgmt, UI/UX, Security, Content Mgmt, Social, Community, Art, Databases, Front-end dev, networking, etc.).

Oh also that I could do better legal work with fewer mistakes and be more attentive to all of my clients with a smaller volume to manage
Wanted to have more ownership and input, always enjoyed working with my clients’ business folks and enjoyed building those relationships, career advancement, etc. Pick a couple and have a good story for them. Ask someone early on why they chose X company and then see if you’ve obtained good material to re-use in subsequent interviews.
I actually more or less did. The people I was interviewing with were mostly also biglaw refugees (some from the same firm, even). They get it. I got the job.
Going in house, my party line is that I find the commercial decision making based on legal advice way more interesting and engaging than simply delivering said advice.
Wanted to work for this specific company and to be part of a really great mission.
Wasn’t* 🙃
