Looking to leave big4 and return to the practice of law, preferably in house counsel somewhere. In my search, I notice some of the big4 firms (e.g, PWC) are actually hiring in house legal counsel. Curious to know details about these positions and departments if anyone has insight. Good/bad culture, pay, how you’re evaluated, etc.?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.

What is the benefit of working for a big 4 over a mid size? From what I’ve seen the money is comparable and work life balance seems to favor mid size. If you aren’t worried about exit opportunities it seems like mid size is a better option.

I really don’t understand the hate against Diversity and Inclusion efforts. I grew up hearing my parents worry about being passed over for promotions and denied opportunities, due to race. It’s a real concern for black professionals.
I want to leave now. I feel like this depression and anxiety become a trauma that affects me personally and professionally. My former and trusted colleagues who left earlier try to talk me to push myself further and leave after the bonus but i feel like a battle every day and every minute is so long and slow to pass by. Things that used to be easy and inspiring become difficult and suffering. Is anyone in the same position? How do you push yourself? Or should i just stop pushing and just leave.

Thoughts on "unlimited PTO"? I'm interviewing at a place that keeps bringing it up as a benefit. They say that corporate supports people taking a week to two weeks off. Maybe I'm cynical, but I've heard that at companies that offer this this, people rarely use the PTO or the PTO is rarely approved. What have your experiences been with this?
Has anybody done the RSM excel case study for their TAS senior role and can provide some input on what to expect? RSM
I went back to the office this month (3/4 days per week) and it’s been a positive experience. Plus it seems that some partners who are going in appreciated it. But the office is a 15 min drive away for me. Some people need to commute an hour plus to be there. Will they be at a disadvantage if they actually try to take advantage of hybrid WFH in the future?
Question: The company that you are working for offers cloud managed services and has been approached by a potential client. What are some areas (or red flags) you would consider before responding to their RFP? ( I started putting together a response but would love to get your insights) Answer: 1) Understanding of current annual spending vs spending if they adopted our cloud services 2) Clients expected growth rate 3) Regulatory requirements depending on industry (medical, fed etc)
I’m a 2nd year civil litigation associate at a mid-sized firm in south Florida. My dream has always been to go in house but was dissuaded by law school professors telling me not to. I’m at a crossroads now because I’m OVER the billing, but my boss and direct team is quite possibly the most amazing and supportive group. My boss is always willing to let us work remote or take vacations. My question is, is the grass greener on the other side? Should I go in house now or wait another 3 years?
Question for MBB consultants: Is there a set path to transition from a big 4 advisory (cyber) position to an equivalent consulting role at the big 3? Or is such a transition not possible without an mba?
