I am having 8.7 YOE JAVA Backend developer and having offer from Nagarro now.
So I wanted to know about the BGV process, like what docs they ask like docs from all of the past employers ?
And do they ask after joining or before joining ?
As I dont have exp letter from my 1st company (with 1.6 yoe) which was a small startup.
It was a absconding case so couldnt get any exp letter but I do have payslips, bank statements, appointment letter & last appraisal letter from that company.

I’ve had radio silence from a small investment bank for about a week now. I’ve completed several rounds of interviews, but last Thursday the firm reposted the job I’ve been interviewing for. On Friday the headhunter said that they’re not sourcing new candidates and it’s probably just LinkedIn automatically refreshing the listing. She said they had a busy week last week but will make a final decision this week - is the delay and radio silence a bad sign or is this typical for experienced hiring?

Curiosity question - I’m a naturally very chatty senior and I’ve noticed that the staff 1s who are starting remotely and living at their parents’ home (which makes a ton of sense with the remote working) that I’ve been working with seem to want to chat about both semi related work stuff and non work stuff a fair amount. If you’re a staff living at home, do you enjoy having seniors who will chat with you about random things or would you rather just get your work done and log off?

For those who moved from a client serving role to an internal role in public accounting while at a fairly high level (experienced manager or senior manager), did you take a pay cut or does your pay stay flat when you transition with minimal increases in subsequent years? I just left a Big 4 firm to Fund Accounting in hopes of better WLB, but now it’s looking like the hours will probably be even worse (60/70+ average weekly) throughout the year. I feel like I was misled during the interview process regarding the workload. Would it be a bad idea to try to return to my firm or another accounting firm? Another industry job? How bad is it to leave a job after just starting? Any advice welcome!

A year ago I moved to an HCOL area to accept a new position, however, I do not go into the office daily. I just go whenever my team needs to be in office. Was wondering has anyone moved out of an HCOL area to save money on rent and was it frowned upon when your firm found out? With inflation and rent going up I’m considering moving 3 hours away where rent is half the cost I’m paying now.
