Any used car dealership recommendations in the charlotte area? Anyone buy recently and can point in the right direction. Never had to buy a car before and don't want to get taken advantage of.

Carmax has always been good for me. It’s the TJ Max of car buying though. You can’t necessarily go in looking for a specific make and model.

like

You absolutely can look for a specific make & model on the website & have it shipped to your nearest location. Here’s an example of VW make GTI model, Autobahn trim in Texas so you can quite specific in the search.

CarMax is not the absolute cheapest used car, but the inventory & less annoying transaction is the convenience you’re paying for.

The car buying process is relatively transparent these days unless you’re going to some sketchy off the road trailer who is selling cars. The internet will help you determine what’s a fair price for whatever you’re looking to buy.

That said, if you’re in the market for used luxury, I’ve purchased two cars (BMW and Benz) from Hi-Line Autohaus (formerly Hi-Line Garage) and had a great buying experience. They’re off Independence.

I’ve had really good experience with echo park on e. Independence. I’ve bought 2 cars from them and no issues with the car and the process was pretty transparent and quick.

Journey Auto Sales off Albemarle! At least five of my family members have gotten their first or second vehicle there. Ask for Mr. Scott the owner!

I purchased my car online Vroom and I recommend that way because you can compare prices online instead of being hassled by salesmen

If I were to buy a used car, I would go to a big dealership with a strong track record and more client protection, like Carmax or Carvana. Local used car lots consistently present me with incredibly shady encounters.

If you want the best deal, shop around. The dealerships I’ve dealt with in town don’t want to play ball (BMW, Chevy, Land Rover). I’ve purchased my last 5 vehicles from out of state dealers to get the best pricing. Use cargurus and find the car you want and reach out to the dealer with the pricing you want. If financing, arrange it in advance. Pay attention to the dealer add-ons.

any CPO or Carmax/Carvana (at least you will have 7 days for a test drive and you can bring a car to a dealer to check everything)

I currently work in Healthcare as a respiratory therapist for 10 years. I have been at my job, currently, for a little over 5 years. Alongside my bachelors degree I also have a masters degree in healthcare administration. Although, I am happy with my current position as a respiratory therapist, there seems to be not a lot career growth with where the department I currently work in within my healthcare system. I am wondering what doors/opportunities I have if I were to utilize my masters degree?
