Any tips on how to start and prepare my MBA Application? I don’t plan on applying till 2022 as I want to attend in 2023. What are things I can do to prepare now in order to have a strong application? Background: I’m aiming for HSW, M7, and top 15. I’m currently a Staff at EY within Business Consulting. I graduated from a Top 25 Business Undergrad - majoring in Finance and minor in Advertising with a 3.71 GPA. I want to pivot towards PM or Corporate Strategy in Tech, at Toyota, or Nike. TIA!

Have you cured cancer yet?
You’re fine considering just those two metrics
I isn't it more about story once you're in the 80% range of accepted peeps?
You have 2 options: have awesome story or look beyond M7
Yeah me too exactly same stats and major and probably school but it’s difficult tbh especially as an indian male
I see pretty good placement from schools as "low" as USC and Foster, but to each their own and depends on your goals
OP darden, ross and duke place equally well and you should look at those as well. Mind sharing where you went for undergrad?
Yeah but it’s not like a lot of other Indian males with my background haven’t scored as high. They also have higher GPAs.
^agreed. Really looking at crafting a story but I’m not sure how to differentiate my self.
And @KPMG1 I don’t see value in an MBA unless it’s from a top school.
I agree but the network you gain from the top schools is very valuable. And I went to Georgia Tech. What about you?
UIUC. Somehow GTech is a very overrepresented engineering school at bschools too OP. Just something I have observed
And these schools have great networks too. Name brand is important but these schools won’t keep you out of MBB or major tech firms and the network is pretty solid too
