The GMAT doesn’t have the AWA section until 5/20, right?

HR/human capital/PAS consultant 🐠: If I have a Masters degree in HR and 2 years experience, is it worth it to get the aPHR or SHRM-CP? Or is the Masters degree enough? Should I wait for SPHR/SHRM-SCP

How do you survive on a PhD stipend knowing it’ll be years before you can afford luxuries like a vacation or brand-name ice cream?

I have worked in marketing for about 6-7 years. First few years were in social media management. My goal is to work at a big tech company.

I’ve heard mixed results about the ROI of earning an MBA. My near future goal is to move into a Marketing Director (or senior manager) role.

1) How much does Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. value MBAs in the hiring process?

2) Anyone currently working at the companies above with only a BBA?

Current situation: Marketing Manager, 90k, NYC.

It's been a challenging year for me, including a rejection from GSAP. This week, I got into my top choice MBA program - and an M7 to boot! Just goes to show that sometimes Deloitte's decisions can be misaligned to the greater world.
I hope that Deloitte gives me the chance to be a good brand ambassador - but at the point, it's up to the firm if I even consider coming back :)

I am currently working on my MBA in a professional evening and weekend program at a highly accredited university. I am thinking about transferring to a much smaller private online program, specifically because they offer a concentration in organizational health, which directly builds on my doctoral research. Does great depth and specialization outweigh the value of a highly respected generalist degree?

Not trying to matriculate into a top 5 school, but let's talk accredidation. Does an MBA not have weight to it if the school isn't lets say, AACSB accredited but is still accreditated, i.e. SACSCOC?

Does where you get your masters degree matter? I’m in an online environmental science masters program at an expensive “name-brand” school, but have colleagues telling me I should transfer to a less expensive program to save $ because no one cares about where your degree is from. Aside from the cost of it, I like my program, and the fact that I’m now connected to an incredible alumni network. And not gonna lie, I like the clout. Thoughts?

After an 32 month journey of campus visits, networking events, information sessions, test prep, work negotiation, sponsorship trials, recommendation hunting, test taking, test retaking, admissions interviews, 6 school rejections, and 1 waitlist, I finally got the call two days ago that University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business Ann Arbor Campus accepted my application and offered me admission to the EMBA program. I am so happy with the acceptance and can’t hardly believe it. AMA!

Curious about timeline - I know the deadline is late April to submit an application but would love to know what deadlines I should set for myself for the essay, recommendations and giving the GMAT. Would love any insight!

The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Hi, this is a bit early but thought y’all might have some good insight. I’m exiting my current startup & have two offers on the table 1. A successful small startup in NYC doing PE/niche executive recruiting and 2. a fairly reputable PE consulting group in Austin. I’m going through the recruitment process at McKinsey for a middle/back office role (capabilities for a really cool space) but by the time I hear back, one of my offers won’t be on the table. Any advice on what’s best for MBA apps?

How does Wharton typically see/admit re-applicants, in comparison to say HBS, which has a very low acceptance rate for them?

Did anyone notice that the Kellogg application doesn’t ask for race? How come? I’m happy but it just seems strange.
