"The partner I work for" seems to be generally understood.
If I’m referring to one of my partners, I say, “my partner, [name].” I don’t feel weird about it - my partners are my partners. It actually feels like a respectful way to describe my partners as I am genuinely proud to be in business with all of them.
I feel like this meme was made about using the term partner for boyfriend or spouse or significant other so I just got so confused about this post
My side piece
Visual Storyteller
“‘My work daddy”
Why would you say that to folks outside the legal industry? Just say my boss or my colleague lol
Yeah, I say "my supervisor" to avoid confusion
I don’t usually use it outside legal field.
Maybe try my “law partner” instead of my “partner.”
“The partner I work for” or “my boss” is the way to go.
Nothing like being with multiple partners
Partner had solely a business meeting until it was commandeered to take on a meaning as romantic couple. That didn’t happen until the 90s and the term was confusing when used in that context back then.
Just don’t
Yes lol hence why I say “my business partner,”unless the term is of common usage/known in the setting I’m using it (like a legal networking event or something). * I see how this can’t be used in all contexts, however. But maybe using “the partner of my firm.”
I’ll just say my law partner or business partner.
I just say my boss or the partner I work w…
Nah, it's very common to use partner in Europe to refer to a spouse or long-term/serious relationship.
Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I love using the phrase “my partner” or “partners.” Especially when my wife is with me; she will do it too. We think it’s hilarious. Keeps everyone on their toes.
Just say boyfriend or girlfriend I can’t with this politically correct stuff
Firm supervisor is essentially what a “partner” is
Better than when you hear all of the hillterns talking about their member in dc.
