You realize this is the general partners bowl. Not the EY bowl.

Sounds like an MD story. Non equity ranks always have excuses.
I have to believe it is a process. It isn’t just you get one NTP (assuming you have been doing well in prior years) and you get a boot. At least I hope that’s how it goes.
They Exec Partner on an engagement owns the revenue. That is the only real thing they measure you on. Our sales goals are a joke because everybody puts everybody on the opportunity records so everyone exceeds their sales number by at least 2X. Because we have so many PPMDs that work on deals, the revenue I earn on an engagement because I am good at delivery can be carved out to others in sums of at least 500K or more. MDs are more like SMEs and are good in the tech details. So if you made your number or are close and others touched the deal they will get some. But this year when I needed help I got nothing. They just know I’m not a hardcore sales guy and that’s what they want. This is right after they told us that MDs will have lower revenue goals this year and partners will be the rainmakers. Then they last minute give all of us the same targets.
For those of us considering MD offers…bad times? Any advice on what’s going on and why to stay away would be great. Is it practice by practice?
Sorry to hear - anonymous friend. Is it even a partnership anymore ?
Pardon the ignorance- what’s NTP?
Needs to progress. Low rating
They use ntp as a vehicle to throw you out.
No, it's a reality, one some partners don't really like to hear
Related, is it true no bonuses or raises at EY this year for consulting unless you were at the top end of rating? Does it differ by level?
No bonuses, but only this year. So they say.
