Anybody work with local governments on 459 plans? Anything there? Any land mines ?

First land mine - they’re 457 plans (not 459).
There are a select group of companies that will handle them, can be slightly higher in cost as a result (compared to a 401k/403b plan). You need to partner with a few wholesalers/TPA’s who can educate you on the in’s/out’s. Not enough space on FishBowl to list the info out for you. Good luck - good space to be in if you educate yourself.

I am using OneAmerica for a 457 plan that I am going after. They have a great program if the plan is big enough that takes almost everything off the advisor and the HR directors plate.

I use them as well. OneAmerica, Mass Mutual and Principal have solid plans.

Hi Fishes, I recently got an offer from NielsenIQ. I want to understand a few salary components. Are LTA, Car fuel & Maintenance, Meal vouchers, and Internet expenses just for tax benefits, or are they given with salary?

It would be great help if someone can help me understand these components.

Always painfully funny lol

Hi Everyone !!!

This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at
Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.

I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?

Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

Has anyone gone through the Breeze Airways panel to interview? Can you give me some insight? Is it a panel of several interviewers asking me questions OR several candidates being interviewed at the same time? It's being held on Microsoft teams but they have been very vague about the specifics. @breeze airways

CFP study programs:

I'm a little confused on Danko - does he offer a self-study option for the coursework requirement? On his website it looks like each module has a 4-day virtual class which I wouldn't be able to attend due to working full time. Does this program also include self-study material, and the classes are just supplementary/optional? I was also looking at Dalton for self-study and Danko for test prep. Thoughts?
