How should I potentially think about staying in the US and working here for tech companies in Bay Area Vs going back to work for Indian startups in Bangalore?

Context: 29 Years old, unmarried, Currently at Big4 in a Strategy role, 5 years on H1B remaining, no loan

How did you ask for green card upon receiving H1B? I am a H1B holder thinking about asking my employer to sponsor my green card (same employer who sponsored my H1B). Curious to hear how others with similar experience have managed such conversations!

While applying for visa my company quoted 80K as compensation. Now they want to reduce it to 75K.

This feels like unfair practice. Is it common? What should be my approach?

I have an H1b which I received in 2019 and was valid till august2021, due to covid I wasn't able to travel and then I switched to another firm last year in November. If I get visa transfer, will it provide me a validity back as I haven't used any on site time on that visa.

People with dogs: how did you get your dog used to city life? My dog is almost a year and half now (having lived the past ~5 months in the city) and he is terrified of the city. We used to live in the suburbs so much more quiet and low key. The cars going by, sudden sounds, bikes/scooters are a huge stressor, but more than anything it’s people - if he sees anyone walking or around him he panics and tries to flee.
