EY future colleagues, what’s the range for an experienced SM hire (I assume it’s the same as Senior Director at EY)? SM4 at Deloitte so not sure what SM level I will be getting an offer for next week. How much sign on bonus to expect and annual bonus range?

Curious what % of partners/MDs have spouses who also work. And regardless of non/working spouse, what do you do to feel a work/family balance?

Recommendations on an exceptional career coach who can help my husband? He works with his brother at a startup his brother founded (my husband is in-house counsel) but often finds himself belittled by his brother, cut out of conference calls and emails and generally feeling like he has no skills. He's an ivy league graduate and went to a great law school but for many reasons cannot leave this job right now. Looking for someone to help w/his confidence level and ways to approach his brother. How do you get experience when no one will hire you? I wouldn’t mind hanging a shingle but I feel it’d be irresponsible to do so with no experience. Unlike all of my classmates, I never landed an internship/externship in law school - had only one interview. I was a PT law student, came from a CS background, and worked in IT throughout law school. I passed the bar exam on my first try (Oct 2020) and have only had a couple interviews out of the hundreds of applications I sent out. Any suggestions?

Looking to change up my MO when it comes to organization. Litigator Hive Mind, how do you guys keep yourselves organized? Do you have a particular system? Looking for more tactile methods (post its, whiteboards, journals, etc.). The whole outlook calendar thing (while necessary) gets very cluttered very quickly and I don’t find it really advances the ball for me much.

Girlfriend has very obvious high functioning anxiety and body image issues that she admits but thinks she doesn’t need therapy or medication and that reading self-help books will help her. It’s not changing in the last several years and it’s impacting our relationship. Anyone have experience with their SO dealing with untreated anxiety? How much salary should I be getting?

Senior attorneys at v100, how common is it for attorneys who start at small firms to lateral to biglaw? Have you worked with any? Conventional wisdom is always that if you don’t start there it’s hard to “trade up”. My coworker and I just did it to two different great v30 firms, and I’m wondering if it’s really that uncommon? Just out of curiosity. We’re not special counsel with special niche skills or anything, just associates. Pitfalls to beware? Positives?

Explain to me like I’m 5. Why does the monthly billable hours goal on things like Intellistat change month to month. I’m not hitting hours this year. Last month goal was 158. This months goal is 180.
