I have had that season. Remember, God will never leave nor forsake you. When you don’t feel close to him or can’t hear him, read the Bible and savor the words. Those words are him because in the beginning was the word and the word was God. Eat the words. Cry out to God. Let him know you can’t feel him and feel far from him. Ask him to send you a tangible sign of his presence. I’ve done this 2xs when I was feeling like you are. One time, I was feeling soooo low and managed to drag myself to go on a walk. I was crying thinking about how I felt. I looked down on the ground and there was a card that said Jesus loves you. I keep that card until today.
During this same period, I was feeling low and ready to end it all. I was like I God I need to know you love me and remember me because I can’t go on. I went to take out the trash and I found a box of pink forever roses.
I was laid off my job in October and found a random job that is not in alignment with my purpose and career. I’m thankful for the job but I’m not very good at it. Let me use this as a time to cry out to remember me and provide me with job in alignment with my strength and career where I can move in ease. May this job provide me with an overflow of energy and abundance that I’m able to spend time loving others and giving to others as they need (be it time or financial).
May I come back here and testify how good God is and how he rescued me once again.
I wish tangible evidence of the Holy Spirit for you OP. May you experience love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self control.
May you come back to this post and also testify. In addition to praying…consider taking your vitamins…especially iron and magnesium. Also consider being treated for depression
Thank you for your testimony. I was laid off 2 months ago and I haven’t found anything! I’m exercising and taking care of my health during this time! I will pray tonight and ask God for a sign 🥹
I know what you are going through. We have all been there. In fact, when we are able to leave there we always return at some point. America is supposed to be a "Christian nation," but too many Christian churches have "lost their first love," which has always been to others -- not just those who attend regularly or can trace both sides of their family tree for five generations through the church membership rolls. The problem is and always will be that the "church" is just a collection of people, and people are flawed. Our society puts pressures on everyone -- the churched and the unchurched. When I was a boy, our church had Sunday School and worship service on Sunday morning and Bible study and worship service on Sunday night. Wednesday was for youth groups, choir practice, prayer meeting. Tuesday and Saturday were visitation days when teams would go out into the community to witness to others, invite them to church services, and pray with those who had burdens to share. I am afraid too many of our churches have become "networking centers" for our careers, social clubs to gather with friends. Church attendance was already suffering before COVID. The pandemic forced people to "forsake the assembling of ourselves together" and the old habit of attending church has suffered. Sorry, but I have no answer for you. Truth be told, I'm struggling with the same issues as you.
Thank you for sharing your experience, I do feel sometimes is a networking gathering. I have attended several churches here and I have 0 friends from there
You are not alone oP. I have been where you are and it is really tough. It can be very depressing and feel very lonely. Hang in there though and please reach out if you need a friend.
Theres a great plan in @YouVersion on Spiritual Wilderness. HIGHLY recommend
Although I'm not currently in a wilderness situation it's solid content.

PART 2. Sometimes church group are more about the pressure to keep a community engaged and donated, volunteer to the church but not to the fact of build a relationship. Churches are fighting hard and afraid to lose a member, so there’s a lot of pressure on these groups. Anyways, any tips or prayers I can do? I have also asked God forgiveness for any aware or non aware sin I might have
