Anyone hiring for a Marketing Analyst position?
I applied with EY for a Senior Manager role I had my first stage interview with a senior manager, which I thought went well as I got the partner interview 2 weeks later, and said I'll be contact within 10 day HR. This did not happen so I chased up. Today I received feedback from HR stating that the senior manager, who would have been my peer, said I didn't have enough experience. But the partner who I would have been working under did like me.
Is this normal with EY recruitment
Hello KPMG Canada,
I am looking for a referral at KPMG. I applied for an internship last week and I’d like to know if I can still get referred. I am new to FishBowl and didn’t get the chance to ask for a referral earlier when I applied last week.
Thanks in advance to anyone reaching out.

Are you asking what HR folks do in a M&A role? I was an HRBP but did M&A and we evaluated if a company should be purchased. Considered ROI, people strategy throughout the acquisition process, considerations such as international growth, impacts to the business, etc. for example, if we were acquiring a company internationally, do we have entities in those countries, what will it take to stand up entities, what do we need to prepare from a organizational standpoint (reorg, payroll, policies/procedures, alignment to current org—including remaps, comp, etc.) project management of acquisition, etc. culture shift, training, etc. Is that what you are looking for?
I led M&A team for HR for years and agree with all that’s said. That encompasses the the due diligence phase. Once the deal is signed and there’s a closing date the focus shifts to onboarding—particularly cultural onboarding and communications. That’s a gross simplification, but basically getting all the internal processes set and making sure you have change champions from the acquired company and the legacy company to field questions and promote good will. HR M&A is the best! It opened doors for me that I never knew were there!
