Anyone have info on Mid tier firm salaries in audit in tier 2 cities (Houston, Miami, etc). I know in tier 3 cities some mid tiers are paying as much as b4, assuming CPA bonus.

B-Tech colleges put ads with Package and Campusing only. Almost 99% Indian YouTube thumbnail is like "5 lakh to 40 lakh", "Interview Experience in bracket 50Lpa" etc.. Hardly we can see Foreign Editorial things marked with Packages.

👉Just ask for it. Really, you would be surprised. Might be easier to switch to a new company and ask. I did that 3 years into my career.

And 🛑 wasting your time at a company that under-values you severely. Sometimes switching companies every 2 years or so will allow you to keep raising the bar for yourself.

What does a person do who doesn’t find any industry accounting jobs interesting? I’ve been trying to leave for 3-4 years and the only thing that interests me is people focused roles such as sales. I considered recruiting but I’m jaded based on my interactions with most. Public accounting is a decent spot for me but I’m wanting a more consistent schedule of 40-50 and the self centered/dog eat dog culture of my firm continues to crush my soul more and more the longer I stay.

I might get a lot of shade for this but tbh I never understood the hype of big fours. I feel I would have just been a slave there. Why would anyone trade their time and time with family for slave hours and money that you could make having your own thing or somewhere else? Everybody sounds miserable at big fours. What’s ur take?
