I was assigned a task that would take 6 hours, I did it in 3 including self review. What now?

Get ready to own a piece of the partnership

Go ask whoever assigned it to you for a pat on the back and a cookie.

The partners are full of jokes today 🤣

Lol, charge 5-5.5 and make sure you did a good job. That’s how you keep your utilization up and be a “high performer”

likefunnyuplifting

Charge 4.5 and submit. Leaves you some time for any updates that your reviewer may require.

Take credit for a job well done 😉 let your senior know and ask what else you can help with. If nothing, study cpa or do online learning through your firm learning portal

Also, in general this varies by level, industry, and service line, so you should be more specific in your post or ask someone you work with at ey.

Keep track of these things for your self review

Tell your boss (don’t ask, you need to be firm if you don’t want to be stepped all over) you’re done and go home for the day

Phew! That makes more sense hahahah

I’m booked on a 3 day inventory count and it only took 2 hours. So here I am sitting in a hotel I didn’t need.

Is there such a thing as getting promoted TOO quickly? Just got the bump to AS after 10 months as an AE. Not at all typical at my agency (usually 5 to 8 YOE). I picked up a lot of opportunity after turnover last year. I am, of course, thrilled, but do wonder if it'd put the validity of my agency in question when looking at my resume. Am I crazy? I'm probably crazy.

Hi,

I’m approaching YE compensation discussions and was curious to see what folks/the industry are paying for institutional middle-market sales/distribution/business-development roles. I have 3yrs of experience with the same firm and am currently working as a sales analyst for the institutional sales team in NA. I have experience with traditional long only solutions, real estate (primarily value add funds), and a sector specific hedge fund. Any and all feedback is welcome!

I'm a HS biology teacher with 2 electives, Forensics and Worldwide Medical trends. I am looking for online lab resources, I use labster, Pearson and a colleague and I have started to record what the students would do. We rotate one does the the lab and the other is the narrator but I would still like more options. What do you use? Thanks and good luck to all in these unprecedented times.

Anyone else a bit annoyed with the announcers right now? I get you disagree with the decision to not start the race, but man there was so much rain out there I can’t blame race control. I think it’s Crofty, not 100% sure, but the comments like “that car should have a driver in it going around the circuit right about now” are a bit much for me. Anyone else feel the same or am I just overreacting?

I took a job for a company that is remote, but has an office in Westwood so I'm thinking about moving to LA. Where should I consider living? I'm 28, fairly extroverted and active. I'm looking for places that are balanced in activities, bars, concerts and has some nature. Also would love to live in a newer or updated building if possible
