Anyone have info on whether or not the following airlines are good: VietJet Air and Scoot

Going to be flying in-between Singapore and Vietnam in a few months and unfamiliar with those. They obviously seem like discount airlines and are much cheaper than Singapore Airlines. Wondering if they are decent or should be avoided and therefore spend more for Singapore Air.
