They have a solid reputation in the South, especially AL. Generally chiller than, say, NY biglaw, but comp matches that vibe. I’m sure you already knew all that tho. Gotta be more specific with your question if you want any useful insights.
OP - wait I’m a bit confused - is this an unsolicited recruiter outreach, or are you actively working with the recruiter to lateral? If the former, you’re going to get tons of these unsolicited recruiter emails, so you have to learn to tune them out, unless you’re actively looking to lateral or you’re otherwise unhappy with your situation. If you’re happy where you are, who cares what the recruiter is talking about lol - know what I mean?
It probably depends on the office. A good friend of mine works in DC with them. This friend puts in between 2000 and 2400 hours per year. They pay decently, but it's a grind that I would never want.
I just saw that an ex client, former CEO of HealthSouth, is suing them for millions over a $3.2 billion fine he was hit with. Not sure the truth of his allegations or how this impacts the firm as a whole just an fyi.
