Anyone here work 2 fulltime jobs? I barely work for less than 10 hours a week at my current job (except for like 2.5 months when it gets really busy). I just got an offer for a new job that I accepted. I had my performance review today which went pretty well and I’m thinking to keep my current job as it barely requires any work. Has anyone done this? Would this impact me in any way?

I judge the company I work every time they misspell my name even though I’ve corrected it over and over again. It tells me they don’t care and don’t want to make the effort. It’s in my email, my email signature, on my profile, etc. How hard is it to look it up and spell it correctly?!

I’m hosting family from America in my home in Europe this week. Being away for just a couple of years has made me really aware of American tendencies. They’re fat and literally are only always thinking of their next meal. We can eat, and they want to talk about dinner. Every night for like the past month I’ve been getting incredibly emotional about adulthood. I miss the lack of responsibility, the simplicity of life, friends were always around, and less pressure to be successful.

I’m 3 years out of college now so it’s not like I just started doing this stuff, but I am feeling the exact same feeling as I did when I first started work and just wanted to be back in college. I know I just need to grow up and accept that’s how life is but it’s incredibly upsetting

Got hired on part time for equity to do corporate strategy at a startup and that funding should hit in the Fall. Now it sounds like funding isn’t likely until we get a better following and I’ve been asked to do one reel and one blog a week (for minimal equity only) with all of my own content (photos, videos etc)
Ik it’s a startup but I feel like this is taking advantage of resources and I don’t give away my photos for free. Am I being too stubborn?

Sometimes I walk around my house calling my dogs name, pretending I don’t see him, even though he’s right there on the couch. I walk around “searching” for him. It makes me happy because my dog then tries to cuddle and jump on me as if to show me “hooman, what’s wrong with your eyes? Is I invisible?”

I used to see people who didn't care about current events or politics as intellectually lazy and irresponsible.

However, I feel burnt out on the constant stream of divisive bickering and toxicity.

It feels like ideas don't matter and pragmatism has become a dirty word for both sides.

For the first time in my life, I don't want to know what's happening in the world and I don't care who wins.

Apathy feels good right now.

Why are some people willing to do anything / obsessed about getting the green card in the U.S.?

When I asked them, they usually say they like American lifestyle. I love lifestyle in France, but I was in France, I was OK if I can't stay. Just trying to understand here so that I can have more empathy.
