Anyone hiring in North Jersey? Probably going to be let go from the IRS this week. I was formally a tax supervisor at big 4 and a mid size firm.

Would really like to find somewhere that is close to 40 hours a week and 100k salary or more. Willing to transition into audit or wherever else I need to, to make that work. Any insight is appreciated!

Happy to refer you to any open positions at EY but 40 hours might be tough here.

Yea big 4 or PA in general probably out of the picture for me but thank you!

Sax LLP in Parsippany is hiring right now dm me. I'm sure a flex schedule with 100k+ salary is doable if you are right fit and can start asap

I know several individuals here, all happy and speak well of the firm.

Cannot chat you but please let me know if you have any other info for me!

Sorry to hear about your situation! I don't have any specific job openings, but with your background, I’d suggest looking into corporate tax or finance roles, which could offer good hours and salary. Have you tried reaching out to recruiters in the area? They often know of openings that aren’t posted!

I will be reaching out next week for sure. Thank you!

My wife may also impacted. The thing is that she really likes working at the IRS and gave it her all the 10+ months that she worked there. OP hopefully things work out and you do not get let go🤞

I am hoping so too but unfortunately it’s not looking good for us. Best of luck!!

Im at pwc in an internal tax role that is about 40 hours a week, maybe 3 weeks at 50-55, fully remote (im also in north jersey though), over $100k at the senior associate level

Would love a shot at this too. Also a probationary employee and more than likely getting let go as well.

Look at BT and CLA. Both firms have quite a few openings and will have better hours than a B4 gig.

Are you on a probationary period at the IRS? Those seem to be the ones being targeted.

Yep

Shouldn't you wait for a buyout

Thank you, yes I agree!

How realistic is it to go from no computer science degree, to getting Salesforce certs and an admin role?

Need advice: do you tell your manager that you’re unhappy or do you just leave?

I’m being taken advantage of with being thrown so much work and really don’t see my salary increasing to be in line with my coworkers doing similar work. I’m a consistent high performer - management reviews tell me that much.

My coworker did mention to the manager that they’re not being paid well for the work they do, and our manager took it personally and told them they’re ungrateful 🥲
