PSA: With tax season is around the corner I just wanted to share that CashApp (Square) allows you to e-file individual Federal return and 1 state return for free (with NO income limit), and the best part is it supports ALL essential forms for stocks like 1099s and Sch D (gain loss on stock including crypto). CMAAS folks, be prepared for more of these questions in 2 weeks
Rising Star
Not mid-tiers, but non-audit firms that have accounting advisory typically have better comp than PA firms
I’m still in my first year in CMAAS but i’ve been working 40-45 recently. Some of my team is more swamped, since they have more experience/more valuable.
Even them are pushing probably 50 tops though normally. Managers are really reasonable and set good WLB expectations.
Pretty much the same. There’s really no busy season if that’s what you’re getting at, busier times come with deadlines.
CMAAS has supposedly been in a bad spot compared to normal the last few years and it’s still far better than audit hour wise.
Obviously you could get on a nightmare team I guess, but that’s no different than audit. Better pay, better hours, better work make it the clear choice imo.
