Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Have specially designated vehicles roam the highways looking for these "1-man traffic jams" (who sit in the left lane while traffic is whizzing by them in the center and right lanes) and literally plow into them and smash their rear bumpers/fenders. It infuriates me when coming up on these miscreants who never learnt the basic rules of the road (or are too short to see over the dashboard that there are miles of empty asphalt in front of them while there is a trail of 8 cars bunching up behind them waiting for them to switch out of the passing lane).
I've come to a conclusion that all drivers, especially in NYM, are terrible and that none of them will follow the "rules" of the road. If you want to avoid these people, then leave earlier or later in the day.
Remind them about the law and explain why it matters. It depends on the situations of course. If you expect people to get out of the left lane for you when the traffic is really heavy you are an idiot.
wild guess that TOM1 is a liberal.
Not really.. just tired of the money staying at the top and nothing but pennies trickling down. I have worked my way up slowly. I am not an accountant, i am on the services side.
At least in Florida it's the law that you only are supposed to use the left lane to overtake. If you are the slowest vehicle you should, by law, use the right lane. Enforcement is a different matter.
If I were king/queen for a day.. drivers is the last thing I would be worried about. I would work on forcing the higher ups to pay better wages and make sure that they money does not stay at the top and it gets down to those that really do the work. But to your point, i would permanently ban all bad drivers. No one over 70 gets to drive.. sorry. No one u der 25 gets to drive.
It is the law that slow vehicles should be in the right lane... left lane is for passing. That being said, it is just as frustrating when you are minding your own business, keeping with traffic and some speed demon starts to flash his/her high beams at you to get you to move faster.
Isn't that the entire premise of Road Warrior? Bastard wouldn't get out if the left lane.
TOM1 sometimes you don't realize that you're driving at the exact same pace as the car next to you, making it impossible for the car behind them to pass them. Maybe they're flashing their lights to see if you're intentionally being an asshole or just need a friendly heads up that you're blocking them essentially
