Never heard of them.
Never heard of them either. But please indulge us with what constitutes "Weird" hiring practice, I am very curious!
They reached out to me via email to setup a phone interview. The email seemed fishy so I reached out to the person on LinkedIn to confirm if it was real. Took several days to actually setup the call. They scheduled it but didn’t ask for or confirm my number so I asked if they needed it. The recruiter said this is the number we have.. it wasn’t mine but my sister’s. Then on the phone screen she asked 2 different times what drew me to the role and I was like umm y’all reached out, I don’t know anything about the position. Like get your facts straight if you’re gonna cold email people. They also wanna do like 5 interview stages for a program manager position which is kinda wild to me.
The 5 stages of interviews are the least of the problems these days. I had 7 rounds with Itron during the pandemic for an Analyst role. Lately, almost every company I've interviewed with has had about 5 stages on average. I miss the old days of one-day, in-person interviews at the office. That said, I get what you mean about the weirdness — I'd avoid them too. Maybe leave an interview review on their Glassdoor page.
I worked here for over 5y, as a startup company their hiring process is more complicated than some of the big companies. They are very cheap offering salaries and promotions. Hard workers are not getting paid but more responsibilities, instead social butterflies really gained a career here.
Yikes..
Yeah, they were incredibly odd to talk too. I only did a phone screen and after it I removed myself from the process because of it
